About Gear Creator

A free, in-browser 3D gear designer and exporter — no install, no account.

Gear Creator lets you pick a gear family, dial in parameters with sliders, and watch an accurate 3D assembly mesh update in real time. When the shape is right, export it straight to a file for CAD, simulation, or 3D printing.

Supported gear families

• Hypoid / Bevel / Spiral Bevel — offset or zero-offset conical ring-and-pinion sets, including automotive-style hypoid differentials.
• Spur / Helical — two meshing involute gears, with an optional helical lead angle.
• Cycloidal — a full cycloidal drive: fixed ring housing, eccentric lobed disc, and output flange.
• Worm — a worm and worm wheel pair with configurable thread starts and lead.
• Rack & Pinion — a linear rack meshing with a rotating pinion.
• Internal — a coaxial internal (annular) ring meshing an external pinion.
• Planetary — sun, planets, fixed ring, and carrier output, with automatic spacing validation.
• Strain Wave / Harmonic — rigid circular spline, flexible flexspline, and elliptical wave generator.

Features

• Real-time 3D preview — orbit, pan, and zoom around the assembly as you adjust parameters.
• Live animation — spin the drive at an adjustable RPM to check mesh and clearance visually.
• Export — save the model as STL, OBJ, GLTF, or GLB, ready to import into Fusion 360, Blender, slicers, or any GLTF-capable tool.
• Image capture — save or copy a PNG snapshot of the current view.
• Blueprint-style rendering — crisp black outlines on every gear for clear, readable geometry.

Three.js for WebGL rendering and Vite for the build — all running entirely in your browser. No gear data is uploaded anywhere.
